Placing a phone call

You can place calls both from the Phone app , the People app , or other apps or widgets that display contact information. Usually, wherever you see a phone number, you can touch it to dial it, e.g. in a text message or an e-mail.

Call by dialing a number

  1. Open the Phone app .
  2. Touch the dial pad icon at the bottom of the screen.
  3. Touch the keys on the dial pad to enter the number. If you enter a wrong digit, touch the "Backspace" tab to erase digits one by one.
  4. Touch below the dial pad to dial.
  5. To end the call, touch .

NB: To dial an international number, touch & hold the "0" key to enter the plus (+) symbol. Then enter the international prefix for the country followed by the full phone number.

Call a contact stored on your phone

  1. Open the Phone app .
  2. Touch the "Type a name or phone number" field at the top of the screen, and an onscreen keyboard will appear.
  3. Start typing either the name or phone number of your contact. As you type, matching contacts will appear below the search field.
  4. Touch the name of your contact, and the number will be dialed.
