About backup service

Your phone has a built-in Android Backup Service that allows you to back up settings and other data associated with one or more of your Google Accounts, such as apps, Wi-Fi passwords, bookmarks, etc. This way, if you need to factory reset your phone or switch to a new one, you can restore your data for any accounts that were previously backed up. Some third-party apps also take advantage of the backup feature, so if you reinstall a third-party app, you can restore your data, too.

IMPORTANT: The backup settings described in this chapter do NOT make a backup of your photos, videos, music and other files. You can automatically back up your photos and videos to Google+ by turning the "Auto backup" feature on. As for document files and folders, you can upload them to Google Drive (the Drive app can be downloaded from Google Play Store ).
