Our story

Lumigon is a Scandinavian company based in Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark. The company designs and manufactures high-end consumer electronics. Lars Gravesen, an experienced serial entrepreneur within IT and mobile software development, founded the company in 2009.

Scandinavian design

Lumigon's products are designed with reference to the company's origins in terms of Scandinavian design traditions. Lifestyle products from this part of the world are often characterized by simplicity, minimalism and solidness. They are usually designed to meet the needs of the consumer, combining functionality and aesthetics.

First product announcement

In February 2010, Lumigon announced the company's first smartphone T1. The "T" stood for "touch". The model had a simple black-and-white design. It was based on Google's operating system Android 2.1 with a special Lumigon P-GUI software implementation to improve the user experience. Moreover, a Freescale i.MX51 processor was utilized, as well as a TFT 480 x 800 high-resolution 3.5" touchscreen made of glass in a metal frame. It was presented with a 5-megapixel camera and Bang & Olufsen's ICEpower® technology – the latter to deliver an enhanced audio quality both in the speaker, receiver and headphones.

T1 featured a universal remote control that made it possible to use T1 for operating a wide range of consumer electronics. The built-in learner function could memorize any command from other infrared remote controls. T1 could also be used in a dock as a mobile PC with an HDMI cable.

T2 smartphone

In February 2012, Lumigon announced a successor to T1, called T2. Compared with its predecessor, T2 has a new design and upgraded specifications. On the outside, T2 is composed of stainless steel and glass, thus continuing Lumigon's link to Scandinavian design traditions and offering a style inspired by simplicity and functionalism.

Like its predecessor, T2 also features an infrared remote control. Via a built-in learner function it can copy commands from other infrared remote controls. As a new addition, the remote control in T2 also recognizes gestures. Thus, users can, among other things, navigate the menus on a TV screen by the movements of the hand holding the device.

T2 also comes with an MS3 sound chip from Bang & Olufsen ICEpower to deliver an enhanced sound experience. It is powered by a 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and runs Android 4.0. The screen measures 3.8" and offers high resolution. Furthermore, T2 has an 8-megapixel camera with a flash on the back as well as a camera on the front for video calls.

T2 HD smartphone

Lumigon followed up on the T2 with the innovative and elegantly designed T2 HD. Launched in March 2014, the T2 HD added a whole new level of features to what was already a highly respected phone.

Building on the company philosophy of style, strength and real-world functionality, the T2 HD was constructed to be both water- and dust resistant.

The sound experience on the T2 HD proved superb. Hi-fi speakers positioned at both ends of the phone delivered rich, powerful stereo for professional video content, music and leisure activities like gaming.

The T2 HD came equipped with the excellent 13-megapixels SonyTM Exmor RSTM main camera and the 2.4-megapixels SonyTM front-facing camera. Realising that the camera was capable of even better performance, Lumigon developed its own FrontFlash. This further improved selfies, video calls and the mirror app performance in dark environments.

Other unique software features included the introduction of the Vault, which automatically encrypts its contents and can only be accessed via a password. A practical help in both private and professional life, the Vault stores everything from passwords, photos, confidential notes and text messages to entire apps.

T3 smartphone

In June 2016 the T3 was launched – a smartphone with an exceptional design inside and out. With T3, Lumigon introduced the world’s first smartphone having a Night Vision camera that allows taking pictures and making videos in the total darkness.

The exterior of the phone is built from molybdenum 316 stainless steel. This grade of stainless steel is highly resistant and more commonly used in the boat industry. Both the front and back of the phone make use of Corning® Gorilla® Glass to help ensure the 4.8” Super AMOLED diamond display is not spoiled by screen cracks.

Powered by Helio X10 – 64-bit 2.2 Ghz, T3 runs on AndroidTM 6.0 Marshmallow and comes with a generous 128GB internal memory. The phone also features an innovative BackTouch that enables scrolling content on the display, a fingerprint reader, Dual SIM slot, universal remote control, ActionKey and FrontFlash.

It is available in black, white and orange as well as four different gold versions with the possibility to engrave a personal message on the rail.
